NYC Landlord Notices and Riders for renewals & new leases

Landlords are required by law to provide certain notices and riders for all new leases and for renewal leases for rent stabilized apartments in NYC.

These generally apply to buildings with 3 or more apartments, and if generally built before 1960.
These include:

 

1) Revised NYC July 2014 Renewal Rider

2) EPA/HUD Lead Paint Pamphlet

3) EPA/HUD Lead Paint Notice

4) NYC Lead Paint Pamphlet

5) NYC HPD Lead Notice Rider

6) Window Guard Rider

7) Bed Bug Notice

If you can’t obtain the forms for any reason, email me and I will be more than willing to provide these forms.

It is better to provide the notice & riders to new tenants or upon renewals.  The failure to do so can lead to stiff fine and penalties.  Landlords have enough headaches.
